My little nephew was born on February 12, 2010 - Maxwell "Max" Franklin Hunt. My brother John and his wife, Colleen, welcomed him much earlier than his May 11th due date but he is doing really, really well. The doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital are fantastic, and he is getting the best care anyone could ask for.
We now have roommates - John and Colleen are staying with us so they can go to the hospital every day to watch over Max, get updates from doctors, and start to take over tasks like diaper changing and temperature taking. I actually hardly see them because they leave around 8am and don't come home until almost 10pm.
They let me touch his little fingers and his sweet little head of hair. Mike hasn't met him yet because he's been in San Antonio for 2 weeks, but I imagine we'll go straight to the hospital when he gets in tomorrow. It's still funny to think we are now Aunt Ashley and Uncle Mike, but it's very cool!
