Can't Help But Love 'Em

We were certain Elsie would have some sort of anxiety attack while we were out running errands after our move-in day in December, and we made it almost a month without that happening.

We keep Tucker and Elsie in Mike's closet (it's big enough for all his clothes, shoes, and 2 dog beds) - this is a good option because it is the farthest point from our front door that opens up to the common lobby (so hopefully our neighbors won't hearing any howling sessions that might go on) and we can also close the blinds so Elsie doesn't obsess over the latest activities of the squirrel population.

If we can say anything about Elsie it is that the dog has good taste. Unfortunately for Mike, that meant she chose his 2 most expensive pairs of shoes to turn into dog bones. Granted, he got the Allen Edmonds shoes on deep discount at Nordstrom Rack and the Banana Republic shoes were also marked down significantly. Nevertheless, they were both his favorites and now would cost almost $600 to replace.

But look at this face!!! You can't help but love her!!

Mike eventually forgave Elsie, after some time apart, and he even let her break a rule (probably with a little coaching from me) and let her nap on the coach for awhile.

Of course, our sweet Tucker never gets in any trouble. Here he is on the crazy, large dog bed that takes over our living room.

Mike reminded me that every time we have "issues" with the pups we'll just be better prepared for when we have "people-kids" instead of just "dog-kids." He's probably right. We'll still love them even if they cause trouble.
